Someone made the Arcade version of Quake playable on PC

One of the earliest leaks for the history of Quake is that there was an arcade version of the game in the late ’90s. Its official name was Quake Arcade Tournament, which was developed by Lazer-Tron with the format of the game of id Software. As you might think, it did not play quite like the game we know from home PC, because it ran a bit slower and had more of a direct attack as opposed to home versions where it was always the main path, but d there could be others to go down. It still contained secrets and power-ups and upgraded weapons. But the strangest thing about it was the combination of movement buttons and a bowling ball to do all the weapon selection. The real selling point of it was that you could play multiplayer with three other cabinets attached to it, so much so We’ve only seen it a few times in the real world, because it’s now turned into a collector’s item for those who ‘ t really like it’s like one of the faint odors in the back of a nicklecade.

Well, those days are long gone, but the game survives when someone loads it on GitHub, completely decrypted. You can not really do the multiplayer aspect of it (now) because there is no server to connect with friends, and there does not seem to be an available option to just a LAN party of old school to do. But you can play through the game and see what all the levels have in store for you. Here is a video sample of where you are to save below, and all the info about the game is tied to that link.
