Three great guitarists of music helped honor the memory of Eddie Van Helen at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Kirk Hammet echoed similar sentiments, calling Erdie a “surprise” while recalling the lasting influence of the model rocker. The Metallica guitarist explained, “Jimmy Hendrix didn’t have a guitar player that had much of an impact, and it was inspiring to me.” “He just invented the simplest thing – a sync on his strings – and brought it into the realm of technology that no one thought possible. It was just like any other planet. ”
Tom Morello, known for his years in Rage Against Machine and Udi Dioslav, describing Van Halen as “Mozart of our pay generation”. “He has talent that probably comes around a century. Eddie Van Halen inspired me to play 20,000 hours to go within 100 miles of his inspiring mastery of the electric guitar. “
News of Van Halen’s tribute began to spread just over a week ago, as rock and roll Hall of Fame fame prepared for the most unique induction ceremony in its history. The 2020 event was originally scheduled for May, but was postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic. Instead, a virtual event featuring pre-recorded parts was broadcast as a special part of HBO.
As part of the Memorial segment, powerful words of praise for Slash, Hammet, and Morello were aired while archival footage of Eddie Van Helen was shown on screen. The legendary guitarist, who died in October after a battle with cancer, was admitted to the hall in 2007 along with other members of Van Halen.
