Singer Helen Reddy dies at 78 in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (KABC) – Australian singer Helen Reddy, best known for her feminist song “I’m a Woman”, has died in Los Angeles at the age of 78.

During a career spanning nearly four decades, Reddy released 18 studio albums, including eight hits at No. 1 on Billboard’s adult contemporary charts. He also acted in films and musicals and appeared in several television shows. She announced her retirement in 2002, but has since attended a few comeback concerts.

Reddy died a week after the release of a film about her life titled “I Am a Woman”.
