SINGAPORE: Zoom Video Communications announced on Wednesday (December 16) that it will open a new research and development (R&D) center in Singapore, hiring “hundreds of key engineers” here.

The new location will also “complement” Zoom’s existing R&D centers in the US, India and China.

The center will play a vital role as a source of innovation for the business, drawing on some of Singapore’s professionals, Zoom said.

Singapore was selected for its “exceptional engineering talent,” Zoom said, adding that it has begun hiring engineers in the area.
