They have been plagued with divorce rumors over the years, and they have turned out to be true after all.
Chinese actress Zhou Xun, 46, and Chinese-American actor Archie Kao, 51, have confirmed that they divorced after six years of marriage.
Archie, through a friend, reportedly told Taiwan Apple Daily on Wednesday (December 23): “We haven’t had a photo taken together for many years, of course we are divorced. I thought everyone knew that already, so I am amazed at the amount of attention we receive today. “
Yesterday, the couple wrote Weibo posts with the same phrase, “I wish you the best,” suggesting that they have amicably parted ways.
The announcement came shortly after a photo of Archie crossing his lips with another woman appeared on Chinese social media this week.
Archie’s new nameless squeeze posted snapshots of them kissing on Instagram, along with a handwritten love letter in English.
“My dear, I wish you good luck on your journey. Make the most of every day. I will be waiting for you with a heart full of passion. This world may have millions of roses, but you are my only rose. I love you, “the note read.
He even tagged it in posts. Enthusiastic netizens who reviewed her account said they found clues that suggested the woman is a flight attendant from Singapore. His Instagram account was soon made private afterwards.
But before coming to the conclusion that cheating is involved, Archie reportedly received Zhou Xun’s blessing for going public with their new relationship, a popular Weibo entertainment blog said after receiving information from “industry experts.”
He also reportedly intends to marry his girlfriend, who is allegedly pregnant.
Since they got married in 2014, Archie and Zhou Xun were rarely seen together in public and had little interaction with each other on social media since 2017.
Other signs of relationship trouble also emerged, with him deleting all of his photos with her on his Instagram account this year.
