Stomper Rebeca was frustrated after being constantly awake from shuttlecocks hitting rackets at 2am.
And according to Rebecca, this is not an isolated incident, it has been happening on a daily basis.
She shared with Stomp that a group of young people have been gathering at Block 127 Rivervale Street since October 19 to play badminton.
“These people get together every day at 2 in the morning to play badminton and it’s causing such a fuss,” Rebecca said.
“They do not wear masks and there is no social distancing between them.
“I took the video on October 23, but this has been going on since October 19. They play for hours until 4 am.
“Sometimes your steering wheel gets stuck on the ledge near the ceiling and they throw plastic bottles and other items to get it back. It really is very loud.”
Rebecca also said that she noticed that the “cable protector” near the ceiling was damaged as items were constantly being thrown at it.
“I feel desperate because even though Sengkang City Council has put up posters on this issue, these young people still get together to play badminton every day,” added Rebecca.
Stomp has contacted the Sengkang City Council for more information.
