A Woodlands resident who left his items along the corridor cooperated in cleaning up the mess, the Sembawang City Council said.

Stomper Daniel He first shared his frustrations on November 27 when he saw the clutter along the corridor at Block 693D Woodlands Avenue 6.

The photos Daniel sent show flower pots, plants, and bamboo poles along the hall.

“This resident takes up a lot of space by placing pots and other unused things along the corridor. Other families find it difficult to get through every day,” Daniel said.

“I’m living at the end, on the corner, and it’s hard to push my baby’s stroller this way.

“There are also a lot of flies near the pots, and it doesn’t smell very good.”

In response to a question from Stomp, a spokesperson for the Sembawang City Council said: “We have gone to the unit in question and have spoken with the resident. The resident has cooperated when asked to remove some items.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and take appropriate action to ensure an unobstructed passageway.”
