Woman taken to hospital after tripping on floor posts outside international building

A woman was taken to the hospital after tripping over small metal studs on the floor intended to help the visually impaired outside the International Building on June 6.

Stomper Point, a friend of the woman sent photos of her friend’s injuries on September 6.

“My friend is really so poor. On her way to work, she slipped and fell outside the back entrance of the International Building,” Dot said.

“The path he fell on had metal posts in the ground. To me, it looks like a bad design!

“At first, his injury didn’t seem too bad as there was no external bleeding, but his leg really did break.

“Yes, my friend was looking at her phone when she fell, but people walk around while using their phones every day and they don’t have an accident!”

In response to a Stomp inquiry, the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said they received a call for assistance at 10.15am. M.

“SCDF transferred a person to Raffles Hospital,” said a SCDF spokesman.
