A roadside dispute that saw a woman scold and show her middle finger to another driver is a good example of how a situation can go from bad to worse.
The SG Road Vigilante Facebook page posted a video of the incident that occurred along the service road to Campus 2 of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) on Bencoolen Street.
According to the timestamp of the video, it was taken on October 31, around 2.46 p.m.
In the video, a Honda driver can be seen going against traffic on the two-lane highway and going head-to-head with the motorist recording the video.
A man and a boy can be seen getting out of the white Honda just as another brown car enters the scene.
The Honda driver, a woman, gets out of her vehicle and walks over to the motorist recording the video.
She can be heard reprimanding him: “Right now don’t back off a bit and let me pass, how am I going to let you pass? Still speed up and run, what is the meaning of this? I was planning to give way. For you, you know? “
By this time, the brown car had pulled up next to the Honda, leaving even less room.
It is not clear what happened next or how any of the drivers got out of the difficult situation.
While many netizens criticized the woman’s behavior, many noted that there were also many factors at play.
Some felt that the motorist who recorded the video could have been nicer rather than aggravate the situation.
Another noted that the brown car made things worse.
Several netizens also said that there were many cars illegally parked along the road that were contributing to the problem.
And finally, the burning question:
What you think?
