US Doctor Reports Serious Allergic Reaction After Receiving Covid-19 Vaccine From Moderna
A Boston doctor said he developed a severe allergic reaction minutes after receiving Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine on Thursday, in the first week of the company’s nationwide launch of vaccines.
The case was the first of its kind related to Moderna’s vaccine.
Federal agencies are investigating at least six cases of people who suffered anaphylaxis after receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which contains similar ingredients, during the first weeks of its distribution in the United States.
Officials with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have not determined whether an ingredient in the Pfizer vaccine caused the allergic responses.

Three injured after vehicle exploded in downtown Nashville
A recording of a recreational vehicle issued a chilling warning minutes before the whole thing exploded, shaking downtown Nashville at dawn on Christmas Day and slightly injuring three people in what police described as an “intentional act.”
The explosion devastated the heart of the city, considered the capital of American country music. It destroyed several other vehicles and severely damaged several buildings, sending black smoke into the sky that could be seen for miles.
Firefighters said three people suffered minor injuries.

Lin Qi, chief executive of the Chinese video game publisher Yoozoo Games, died after being hospitalized amid a Shanghai police investigation into an alleged poisoning case. He was 39 years old.
Yoozoo announced that Lin, the founder, president and main shareholder, died on Friday without giving a specific cause.
He was admitted to hospital recently after experiencing discomfort and his condition was “stable,” the Shanghai-based company said in a statement two days ago.

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus and defender Kyle Walker will miss the busy holiday period after contracting coronavirus, the Premier League club said on Friday.
