Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have condemned the actions of several first-team players, who broke the blocking rules together over Christmas.
The Spurs trio Sergio Reguilon, Erik Lamela and Giovani Lo Celso, as well as West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini, were photographed breaking coronavirus lockdown regulations.

“We are very disappointed and strongly condemn this image showing some of our players with family and friends together at Christmas,” said a statement from Tottenham.
“Particularly because we know about the sacrifices that everyone across the country made to stay safe during the holiday period.
“The rules are clear, there are no exceptions, and we regularly remind all of our players and staff of the latest protocols and their responsibilities to adhere and lead by example.
“The matter will be dealt with internally.”
Lamela and Lo Celso are not involved in Spurs’ clash with Leeds United on Saturday, while Reguilon is on the bench.
Several cases of COVID-19 on the rise in Fulham saw their confrontation with Tottenham, which was originally scheduled to take place on December 30, postponed, a decision that Tottenham coach José Mourinho called “unprofessional.
“I don’t want to talk too much about it,” Mourinho told reporters ahead of Saturday’s game against Leeds United. Just to say that i felt [it was] unprofessional, but it was.
“We were preparing for that game and of course we didn’t play, and that disrupts what a work week is.”
“The previous training sessions would be different if we were to play that game. People say good to me that there was no game, but only good to me if I knew there was no game.”
West Ham said: “The club has set the highest possible standards with its protocols and measures related to COVID-19, so we are disappointed to learn of Manuel Lanzini’s actions.
“The matter has been dealt with internally and Manuel has been forcefully reminded of his responsibilities.”
