With an average 2.9 star rating based on 87 Google reviews, NKS Restaurant is probably not a dining establishment that stands out for its excellence.
A common complaint about the restaurant, located at Block 204 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1, is the long wait time and slow service.
However, what makes NKS Restaurant stand out are its sarcastic responses to negative customer reviews.
Stomp contributor Hans was amused when he found the answers while Googling the restaurant and sharing them with Stomp.
He said: “The responses were either sarcastic or rude, and it is quite unusual for a food and beverage company to respond that way, especially since the business is customer-centric.
“However, I found them very funny. I laughed a lot at some of his answers. There are a couple of some that tickle me.”
One response apparently favored by NKS Restaurant is to tell customers not to come if they are unhappy and scold them for “making noise.”
The position of the restaurant remains the same even if they have made a mistake in their order because apparently everyone makes mistakes.
After all, it’s just a “wrong order only” and “I don’t like it, so don’t come.”
Name calling and personal attacks also seem to be the norm for NKS Restaurant.
Complaints about food? Blame “lazy” customer for ordering delivery and menu because “photos are for illustration purposes only.”
“No wonder you’re Karen, stop whining,” the restaurant said in response to a reviewer named Karen.
After all, he’s not happy so don’t come, right? Ask these satisfied customers, of whom the restaurant also has its fair share.
One reviewer, who described the NKS restaurant as “relatively good,” said he received his order “pretty quickly” in six minutes.
He also disagreed with comments that the staff were arrogant, but pointed out that “this is not the cleanest restaurant.”
To this, the restaurant responded: “Finally, someone with an objective and rational vision. Thank you.”
What do you think of the restaurant’s responses to the reviews?
