SINGAPORE: Tekka Center and Mustafa Center are among the locations added to the list of public places visited by COVID-19 cases in the community during their infectious period, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Saturday (November 28).
Also added to the list were COURTS Megastore in Tampines, Northpoint City in Yishun, and Hoe Kee Superstore in New World Center.
The locations are as follows:
Singapore confirmed on Saturday a new community case, that of a 60-year-old Singaporean woman selling lamb in the Tekka market.
His infection, which is currently not linked, was detected through the ministry’s surveillance testing of street vendors in and around the Tekka Center on Thursday.
According to the ministry, she lives at 22 Yishun Street with her husband, who has been working at Mustafa Center for the past few years. She regularly visits her children who are staying at Bishan Street 13 and Tampines Street 86.

Those who have been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.
As a precaution, anyone who was in the places listed during the specified times should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of the visit, the Health Ministry said.
They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection, as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their history of exposure.

The health ministry said that people can access the SafeEntry Location Matching Self-Check service through the TraceTogether app, SingPass Mobile, or the SafeEntry website to check if they were at these locations during specified hours, based on their own SafeEntry records. .
“There is no need to avoid places where confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded. The National Environment Agency will contract the management of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection,” the Ministry of Health said.
As of midday Saturday, a total of six new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, of which five were imported infections. There was also one death: a 68-year-old Singaporean man who had a history of hypertension and heart disease.
The man, who had traveled to Indonesia for work, is the 29th fatality from COVID-19 in Singapore. His cause of death as determined by the pathologist is ischemic heart disease with COVID-19, the Ministry of Health said.
