A Stomper was concerned when he found trash on a stair landing in Block 872B Tampines Street 86 recently.
Stomper shared with Stomp photos he took on March 23 at 9 p.m. of a piece of cardboard placed on the landing and a plastic bag filled with glass drink bottles.
“I did my rounds and found some disturbing hygiene issues,” he said.
He added that on a previous occasion, he allegedly also found a syringe.
Since then, he has reported the matter to the relevant authorities.
In response to a query from Stomp, a Tampines City Council spokesperson said: “Our property officer acted quickly and deployed our cleaner to clean up the trash area.
“The officer checks the area regularly and has not found any syringes there.
“Cleaning the farm is a priority for the City Council.
“We take all comments very seriously and will follow the case closely.
“Signs have also been posted to remind residents that such behavior is prohibited.
“Your cooperation in keeping the property clean is greatly appreciated.”
