As reported on Mingpao, the actress first spoke on social media since the controversy, posting on Instagram Story: “Stop trying to calm the storm. Calm down. The storm will pass.”
The post seemed to hint that Ashley is ready to face the public again.
However, when the media contacted the actress to ask her if she would be the center of attention again, she replied, “Sorry. I will not respond.”
Ashley was previously rumored to have already been replaced in an upcoming series with Karl Ting after her scandal.
Ashley and fellow “Brain-Eating Zombie” co-star Jackson Lai were caught on a date in the latter’s car on a hillside near Tuen Mun earlier this month. They later admitted the matter, although they blamed their inability to withdraw from their dramatic characters as a reason for the transgression.
