Graeme Souness was briefly surprised by Hakim Ziyech in Chelsea’s 3-1 loss to Manchester City.
Chelsea’s recent poor form continued when one of their rivals put them to the test for the title at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues conceded three goals in the first half to give themselves a mountain to climb. And the last of those goals highlighted an aspect that should concern Frank Lampard, according to Souness.
the Sky sports The expert criticized Ziyech for not backing down when his free kick led to a counterattack from which Kevin De Bruyne scored.
Souness said, “Just look at Ziyech. Come in, look at it!
“Great players don’t act like that. You need to run backwards as fast as you can.
“They don’t stand still and watch the game like that. “It’s not my problem, it’s someone else’s problem.”
“I’m not saying I’m going to run back and make a difference, but I need to come back. Kevin De Bruyne has followed up, he still wants to be a part of it.

Lampard must address the problem
Souness went on to urge manager Lampard to solve the problem in training, hinting that it shows the difference between the league Ziyech played last season compared to this year.
The former Liverpool midfielder added: “I’m sure when Frank sees that he will point out to Ziyech that he can’t do that.
“It didn’t bother him. Didn’t do the basics, pretend to slide What does that say about me as a player?
“I’m not saying I would have avoided the goal, but you never know. That must be happening in training and as a manager it must be pointed out.
“In the right teams, that never happens. We are now in January, he has been since the summer. That can’t happen in the Major Leagues. “
