Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists he is planning long-term at Manchester United and is calm at claims that he could be replaced by Mauricio Pochettino.
The former Tottenham manager is once again be linked with the Old Trafford hotseat. That comes with Solskjaer under renewed pressure following successive defeats to Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir.

However, Solskjaer is dealing with everything calmly.

He insists that he remains calm amid a growing storm.
“Of course you can enjoy it,” he said of the job. “I’m not happy to be under pressure, as you say.
“The pressure to lead, to lead Man United is a pressure you have to have to have strong shoulders and a strong head. But it is also the same in reverse.
“I’ve never really been in too dark a place. When I’m not playing well or when the team isn’t doing well, I don’t get carried away.
“You have to have consistency in the way we communicate with the players, work with the players because they will overreact.
“We still have a plan in place and you are proactive and stick with that plan.
“Of course, some results and performances need a different reaction to what you might have planned.”

Solskjaer knows he has Woodward’s confidence
United have tended to react well to setbacks under Solskjaer. That will also be important if they want to calm the conversation about a possible move for former Tottenham boss Pochettino.
However, the Norwegian seems unfazed by the growing speculation that links the Argentine to his work.
He is also confident that he has the backing of Executive Vice President Ed Woodward and the club’s hierarchy.
“I will say that all my conversations with the club have been planned for the long term,” said Solskjaer.
“Of course we want results in the short term, but I have had a positive dialogue, well, an open dialogue with the plans that we have put in place.
“We have planted a seed, the tree is growing.
“Some clubs just break that tree down and see if it’s still growing and if it’s still getting water underneath.
“For me, I have had a backing since I got to the bigger picture, and the club needs to look at the bigger picture.
“We cannot think or react to one or two results. You have to look perhaps further back and what is the direction in which we are going. “
Solskjaer also feels that “the culture and mindset in the group has improved tremendously” during his time at the helm.
