He had previously tested negative for the virus during his stay-at-home notice (SHN).
He arrived from Myanmar on January 23 and served SHN in a dedicated facility until February 6. His test taken on February 5 during SHN was negative.
After her SHN, she moved to a pension for foreign domestic workers while awaiting deployment to an employer, and had not left the pension from February 6 to March 23.
“It could be shedding tiny bits of virus RNA from a past infection, but since we cannot definitively conclude that it was infected before it arrived in Singapore, we will take all necessary public health actions as a precautionary measure.” “said the Ministry of Health.
Epidemiological investigations are ongoing, the ministry added.
Meanwhile, all identified close contacts of the case, including his contacts at the pension and the employer’s residence, have been isolated and quarantined.
Tests will be performed at the beginning and end of your quarantine period to detect asymptomatic cases.
The Ministry of Health will also conduct serological tests for close contacts to determine if the case could have been infected by them.
There were a total of 12 new coronavirus cases, bringing Singapore’s total to 60,265.

Singapore has had 30 deaths from Covid-19 complications, while 15 who tested positive have died from other causes.
