SINGAPORE – There were 18 new confirmed coronavirus cases as of noon on Wednesday (November 11), all of which were imported.
This is the highest number of imported cases since April 1, when there were 19 patients.
The imported cases on Wednesday were placed on stay-at-home notices upon arrival in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) said.
It consisted of two permanent residents and 14 holders of work passes. Of the holders of work passes, 10 are foreign domestic workers.
There were no new community cases and none of the workers’ bedrooms.
Wednesday’s cases bring Singapore’s total to 58,891.
More details will be announced Wednesday night.
On Tuesday night, the Health Ministry added Bugis Street, Mustafa Center, Jurong Point and Kitchener Complex to the list of new sites visited by coronavirus patients while they were infectious.
Bugis Street was visited on three different occasions: between 8.15 p.m. and 11 p.m. on November 1, between 3.30 p.m. and 6.55 a.m. on November 3, and between 11.45 a.m. and 3.20 p.m. on November 8.
The Mustafa Center was visited on November 3, a Burger King store in the Kitchener Complex was visited on November 4, and Jurong Point was visited on November 5.
Visited a Kopitiam store in Jurong East on November 6 and 8.
The Ministry of Health provides the list of places that infectious Covid-19 patients visited for at least 30 minutes, and the hours they visited them, so that people who were in these places at the same time closely monitor their health during two weeks from the date of your visit.

The Health Ministry has said that close contacts have already been notified and that there is no need to avoid these places as they would have been cleaned up if necessary.
Nine new Covid-19 patients were announced on Tuesday, one of whom was a community case. The case was a 25-year-old Malaysian national who was last present at his job as a cleaner on November 2, the Health Ministry said.
He developed symptoms a day later and sought medical treatment at a general medicine clinic, where he was tested for Covid-19 under enhanced community testing. Yours is an unrelated case.
Of the nine new cases on Tuesday, seven were imported.
They included one Singaporean, one permanent resident, two work permit holders, one dependent pass holder, and two short term visit pass holders.
The Singaporean returned from Uzbekistan while the permanent resident traveled from Indonesia.
Two other imported cases are work permit holders who returned from Indonesia on November 9.
The holder of the dependent pass is an Indian citizen who arrived from the United Arab Emirates. The remaining imported cases are two short-term visiting pass holders who returned from the United States and the United Kingdom.
All had been placed on stay-at-home or isolated notices upon arrival here and were evaluated while delivering their notices.
A migrant worker staying in a dormitory was the remaining coronavirus patient announced Tuesday.
With four cases discharged on Tuesday, 57,970 patients have made a full recovery from the disease.
A total of 40 patients remained in the hospital, none in intensive care, while 20 were still recovering in community facilities.
Singapore has had 28 deaths from Covid-19 complications, while 15 who tested positive have died from other causes.
Globally, the virus outbreak that began in December last year has infected more than 50.9 million people. More than 1.26 million people have died.
