SINGAPORE: Singapore reported seven new cases of COVID-19 infection as of noon on Wednesday (October 28), all of which were imported.

The seven imported cases were placed on stay-at-home notice upon arrival in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in its preliminary daily update.

No local broadcast was reported Wednesday.

The new cases bring Singapore’s total COVID-19 count to 57,987.

Details on the new cases will be updated later tonight, the Health Ministry said.

STUDENTS CAN COLLECT THE RESULTS OF THE NATIONAL EXAM IN PERSON

Students who collect their national exam results can do so in person this year, but are expected to observe safe management measures.

Singapore’s Ministry of Education and the Examination and Assessment Board said Tuesday that they “recognize that being able to collect their exam results in person is an important part of many students’ educational journey.”

This year’s collection of results will take place in small groups in individual classrooms, rather than in large, crowded places like the school room. Students must register through SafeEntry and be screened for fever and flu-like symptoms.

A parent or guardian may accompany students taking their final elementary school (PSLE) test results, although they will have to wait in designated common areas while their child or ward receives the results in the classroom.

For GCE level candidates, only students will be allowed to enter the school.

The exact dates for the publication of exam results will be confirmed approximately one week before the actual publication day. Students will also be able to view their test results online on the day the respective results are posted.
