McDonald’s reopened most of its outlets this morning for takeout, delivery and immediate delivery orders after a three-week shutdown due to the coronavirus.

The photos that appeared online this morning showed that customers had their temperatures controlled and lined up a meter away at various points of sale almost a month after the chain closed all of its stores in response to infection by multiple employees. Several cars were also seen snaking through the drive-thrus restaurant.

“No, I didn’t rush into McDonalds today. Welcome @McDonalds back #Singapore! #McDonaldsAtHomeTwitter user @Hpility Posted online this morning, showing off your McMuffin sausage and hashbrowns.

The fast food chain announced its reopening yesterday, warning customers not to rush stores.

Until the “breaker” measures expire June 1, most outlets will operate from 7 am to 9 pm, although stores in places like tourist attractions and parks will remain closed, he said. Neither will offer 24-hour service, and their ice cream kiosks will remain closed, he added.

Hello Singapore, thank you for your patience and good wishes in the past few weeks. We are pleased to announce that we will be taking your order again tomorrow, May 11, through Contactless McDelivery®, Drive-Thru, and Takeaways, “said part of the ad.

The announcement came with the slogan: “We are back. No rush. Stay safe.”

Mcdonald’s delivery app was also overwhelmed with orders this morning. A note was displayed saying “I was experiencing a high volume of traffic” when Cocos Singapore I checked it around 10:30 a.m. The application could not be used at that time. At Grab, the app said a nearby McDonald’s store was “temporarily closed” on orders.
