With the Chinese New Year on its way, gambling and mahjong is something most of us look forward to and with only four people required to play, it’s well within safe distancing guidelines, even before Phase 3 begins.
Now you can make your mahjong sessions a little more special with a limited edition mahjong set from Singapore Airline (SIA). It’s yet another way to support the national airline after a host of initiatives including the A380 Restaurant and a behind-the-scenes tour of SIA’s training facilities. And it will cost you $ 388 or 42,250 miles.
Presented in a beautiful dark blue leather case, it features tiles decorated with the brand’s signature batik print on the back.
The tile front has also been designed to feature signature airline features. For example, the tiles on the white board are represented by airplane windows instead of the usual plain rectangles.
The bamboo suit tiles are made up of small airplane seat maps, while the circle suit tiles are inspired by airplane engines.
Since batik is a big part of the SIA’s identity, it ranks highly. Apart from the back of the tiles, the flower and station tiles are superbly decorated with batik motifs that are inspired by local flowers, as are the tiles, which come lined with beautiful batik motifs in blue, red, green and purple, the same colors as the air hostess uniform.
