SINGAPORE – Fun seekers heading to Sentosa’s beaches will now need to make reservations in advance of their visit to better facilitate safe Covid-19 management measures.

Starting October 17, people wishing to visit the beaches during peak periods, including weekends and holidays, will need to make their reservations first.

The reserve system will be tested for an initial period of three months for Tanjong, Palawan and Siloso beaches, Sentosa Development Corporation said in a statement on Wednesday (September 23).

He added that crowds have been observed at these sites during peak periods.

The three beaches have also been segmented into a total of seven zones, each with a capacity limit of between 100 and 350 to allow safe distancing.

Guests can pre-book their entry up to seven days in advance of their planned beach visits, subject to capacity limits. For its initial implementation, the reservation system will begin accepting reservations from October 10, for visits from October 17.

Reservations can be made on this website.

Guests can choose between two lots to visit: the morning period (8 am to 1 pm) or the afternoon (2 pm to 7 pm).

They can make reservations for up to five people in each reservation and will receive an email confirming the selected beach area and the schedule.

On the day of the visit, guests should go to the beach entrance kiosk in their selected area and present their confirmation email for verification.

They will be given wristbands for admission and will be able to access the selected beach area at any time during the reserved time.

Fifteen beach courts at Tanjong, Palawan and Siloso beaches will also be available for reservation for guests who wish to play court games such as beach volleyball.

Additionally, “safety rings” have been progressively placed on Sentosa beaches, indicating places where small groups of up to five can gather.
