Manchester United could have the opportunity to sign Sergio Reguilón from Real Madrid, it is reported.

Reguilón enjoyed a successful campaign on loan at Sevilla in 2019-20, which culminated in victory in the Europa League. He played Man Utd in the semi-final.

However, there is no room for him at Real Madrid, because Zinedine Zidane prefers Marcelo and Ferland Mendy.

Reguilon is therefore likely to leave the club during this transfer window, potentially for as little as £ 18 million. In turn, that will help Madrid raise funds for the signings they want to make.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Madrid have offered Reguilon to Manchester United.

Chelsea had been considering a move for Reguilon as a possible alternate target to Ben Chilwell.. But having completed the deal for the England international, the Blues no longer need him.

Therefore, United could have a chance to sign the 23-year-old. However, they have yet to decide whether or not they want it.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s current options at left back are Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams. Reguilon would provide tougher competition for the duo.

Reguilon is currently in international service with Spain, for whom he has not yet appeared as a senior.

Reports last month suggested Madrid would like to include a buyback clause in any deal to sell Reguilon.

United still want Sancho

Meanwhile, United continues to prioritize a big money move for Jadon Sancho. However, his interest in Jack Grealish has cooled due to demands from Aston Villa.

In fact, they have already signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax to reinforce their midfield.

However, Sancho remains firmly on their radar as they plan to reinforce their attack. And the winger has admitted that he does not mind the constant speculation of transfers.
