A man who forced his way onto the train with a non-folding bicycle is under investigation by police, SMRT said in a statement on Friday (December 18).
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday (December 16), first caught the attention of netizens after a video of the man yelling vulgarities was posted on TikTok.
Since then, the video has circulated on Facebook multiple times and has accumulated more than 167,000 views on TikTok.
In the video, the man’s bicycle can be seen hanging precariously from the metal grab posts as he hurls curse words at other commuters on the train.

According to the post, the police are investigating the uncooperative male passenger who brought a non-folding bicycle onto the train.
“We thank the police for their quick action to help keep the public transportation network safe. We would like to remind all commuters to do their part in complying with regulations,” said SMRT.
“Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated on the public transport network.
“SMRT will continue to work closely with authorities to deal with violators, so that everyone can enjoy safe and comfortable travel.”
