The Government will also continue to pay the annual non-pensionable subsidy or the thirteenth month bonus corresponding to a month’s pay to all public officials.
This decision was made in light of the negative economic outlook, and the PSD cited the projected economic contraction of between 6 and 6.5 percent for 2020.
According to preliminary estimates by the Labor Ministry, general, resident and citizen unemployment rates also increased in the third quarter.
