SINGAPORE: The results of this year’s Singapore-Cambridge N-level exams will be released next Thursday (December 17) at 2 p.m., the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Board of Examinations and Assessment said. Singapore (SEAB).
Given the current COVID-19 situation, arrangements have been made for the school’s candidates to receive their results in their individual classrooms starting at 2 p.m., rather than meeting as a cohort as in previous years.
“Only candidates who collect their results will be allowed into the school premises, and they are expected to observe the established secure management measures,” the joint MOE-SEAB press release said.
School candidates who are unwell, under quarantine order, stay-at-home notice, or leave of absence should not return to school to collect their results. You can view your results online through the SEAB results posting system at www.seab.gov.sg from 2.30 pm on December 17. The system will be accessible until December 31.
School candidates who are eligible for SingPass can use their account to access SEAB’s online results posting system. School candidates who are international students can access the results posting system using the PIN issued by SEAB sent to their email addresses that their schools provided to SEAB.
“School candidates may also designate a proxy to collect a physical copy of their results on their behalf,” the joint press release said.
School candidates can contact their schools for assistance if they are unable to designate a proxy or have not received their password for the SEAB results posting system.
Private candidates will be notified of their results by mail. Results will be mailed out on December 17th.
Private candidates with SingPass accounts can also get their results online at SEAB’s online results posting system, similar to arrangements for school candidates. Those without SingPass accounts can use the PIN issued by SEAB sent to their email addresses.
APPLICATION FOR COURSES FROM THE INSTITUTE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION (ITE)
Students applying for the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) courses can submit their applications online through the ITE application portal between 2.30pm. M. From December 17 and 5 p.m. M. December 21. Printed application forms will also be available at the three ITE universities.
For courses offered under Skills-Based Admissions, students can check the interview details online through the ITE application portal on December 22 at 2 p.m.
The results of the ITE publication will be published on December 30, and students can check the results of the publication online through the ITE application portal. Those who receive an ITE offer must log into the portal between December 30 and January 4, 2021 to accept or reject the offer.
DIRECT ENTRY SCHEME TO THE POLYTECHNICAL PROGRAM (DPP)
Students eligible for the Direct Entry Polytechnic Program (DPP) will receive a copy of Form N from their high schools, inviting them to apply for the program.
DPP prepares students for progression to selected polytechnic diploma courses through a two-year senior Nitec course at ITE. Under the DPP, students who successfully complete their Higher Nitec course and achieve the minimum Higher Nitec grade point average are guaranteed a place in a polytechnic diploma course assigned to their Higher Nitec course.
Applications for the DPP can be submitted online through the ITE application portal between 2.30 pm on December 17 and 5 pm on December 21.
DPP release results will be released on December 23rd and students can check results online through the ITE application portal. Students who receive an offer must log in to the portal between December 23 and 28 to accept or decline the offer.
Students who do not have a confirmed place in the DPP must report to their high schools in 2021 for Secondary 5.
POLITÉCNICA FOUNDATION PROGRAM (PFP)
Students interested in applying for the Polytechnic Foundation Program (PFP) must begin their Secondary 5 school year in 2021, while awaiting notification of eligibility and confirmation of a place in the PFP.
The PFP is a specific basic program for a diploma that is carried out over two academic semesters in the polytechnic schools. It serves students in the Normal (Academic) course who have decided to pursue a polytechnic education and meet the PFP eligibility requirements at the end of Secondary 4.
Applications for the PFP will open in January 2021 on the day the O-Level results are released. Those eligible for PFP will receive a copy of Form P the same day inviting them to apply for PFP.
EDUCATION AND CAREER ORIENTATION
Students can consult with teachers or Career Education and Guidance (ECG) counselors at their respective high schools to help them make informed decisions about their next steps, the MOE and SEAB said.
They can also refer to the MySkillsFuture website to learn more about the educational and career options available. Students can make an appointment with an ECG counselor at the ECG Center at MOE (Grange Road) by phone at 6831 1420, by email or online.
