Mustafa Center, Jem, ICA building added to COVID locations list

SINGAPORE —Several major shopping centers, the Immigration and Control Points Authority (ICA) building, and a travel agency were among the additions made by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Friday (October 29) to a list of places visited by community cases while infectious.

The Mustafa Center was visited on October 24 from 12:00 to 13:35, while Jem’s H&M point of sale was visited twice on October 16 from 7:35 to 8:35 pm and on October 28, 17 : 30 to 18:00. Jeml’s Uniqlo store was also visited on October 16 from 8.30 pm to 9.45 pm.

The McDonald’s in City Square Mall was visited on October 26 from 2.30 to 3.20 p.m., while the Hillion Mall McDonald’s was visited on October 17 from 6.35 to 7.40 and on October 21 from 6.40 to 7.20.

Westgate’s IT systems and services provider, QCD Technology, was visited on October 28 from 6:10 PM to 7:15 PM.

The ICA building was visited on October 17 from 7.55 am to 9 am, while the BLS International – Indian Passport, International Plaza Visa Application Center was visited on October 21 from 9.15 am to 10.15 am

Visited Jetspeed Travel at 3 Coleman Street on October 26 from 4:45 PM to 7:00 PM.

Those who had been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified, the Health Ministry said.

As a precautionary measure, visitors who have been to these places during specified times should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of their visit, he added.

They should see a doctor if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection, such as cough, sore throat, and runny nose, as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history.

Individuals can access the SafeEntry Location Matching Self-Check service through the TraceTogether app, SingPass Mobile, or at wereyouthere.safeentry.gov.sg to check if they were at these locations during specified times, based on their own SafeEntry records.

“It is not necessary to avoid places where confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded. The National Environment Agency will involve the administration of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection, ”the ministry added.

The list of public places visited excludes residence, workplaces, healthcare facilities, and public transportation, and will be updated every 14 days or an incubation period, and as epidemiological investigations progress.

On the same day, the Ministry of Health confirmed nine new cases of COVID-19 in Singapore, bringing the country’s total to 58,003.
