Burnley continued to pressure them in the second half and had the best chances to score.
But Kane e Son saved their side once again by teaming up for the goal in the 76th minute.
Erik Lamela launched a corner that was headed in by club captain Kane.
His South Korean teammate was in the perfect position to head the ball into the back of the net.
The goal perfectly showed why the two players are some of the best in the Premier League At the time.
Speaking after the match, Mourinho told reporters: “It is an understanding that comes from Mauricio [Pochettino’s] time. I don’t want all the credit, let’s share with Mauricio. They played together for a long time, probably in a different way because Harry isn’t always a nine now.
“What I like the most about both of them is that they are two top players but [also] close friends, not jealous, they both play for the team.
“Thanks to them, two great players, two great guys.”
The result could prove important for Spurs in their quest for the Champions League.
It shows the team’s ability to score three points even when they are not playing their best.
Burnley’s course is arguably one of the most difficult to win in the division, so Mourinho will be pleased with the result.
Their next meeting is against Royal Antwerp in Group J of the Europa League.
