Lionel Messi says that he is “not surprised” by the way Barcelona chose to “kick” Luis Suárez out of the club, in his last spiel at the Catalan club.
Messi has endured a troubled relationship with Barcelona of late, which almost saw him leave in the summer. The Argentine announced his intention to look for a new club, before deciding to retract your wish.
However, Messi still has problems with his superiors and those problems have resurfaced again. The 33-year-old used Instagram to launch a spiel about how Barcelona handled Suárez’s departure.
Suárez joins Atlético de Madrid after his new coach Ronald Koeman informed him that it is not in his plans.
“We are going to miss you a lot. We spent many years together, many colleagues, many lunches and many dinners, ”Messi wrote (via objective). “So many things that we will never forget, all the time we spend together.
“It will be strange to see you with another shirt and much more to face you on the field. You deserved a farewell that fit who you are: one of the most important players in the club’s history.
“Someone who accomplished great things for the team and individually.
“You didn’t deserve to be kicked out like they did. But the truth is that nothing surprises me at this point ”.
Suarez and Messi enjoyed a strong relationship in the six years they worked together at the Camp Nou. However, Suarez has denied reports in Spain that Koeman decided that the pair’s strike force was no longer a key part of the team.
Suárez denies having discredited Messi’s reports
At a press conference held in the midst of his latest career move, Suarez said: “It’s been a crazy month. Things have been invented, things that are not true that have been leaked and that bother you but we have to try to get away from all that.
“Everyone knows the relationship I have with Leo. When you arrive in Barcelona they tell you to be careful with Leo and now after many years, Leo and I get along spectacularly and they say that you are bad for him.
“We know the time we had in the team and that we try to do our best and live up to what Barcelona is and, in my case, I can leave feeling proud.”
Suárez scored 198 goals in 283 games for Barcelona, while also helping another 109 goals.
