Marina Bay Sands, Orchard Gateway, and Ghim Moh Market and Food Center among locations visited by community COVID-19 cases

SINGAPORE: Three shopping malls, several restaurants, a Clementi supermarket and the Ghim Moh market and food center were added on Wednesday (December 30) to the Ministry of Health (MINSA) list of public places visited by community cases of COVID- 19 during his infectious period. .

This follows the community case reported in Singapore on Monday, which was the first here since December 21.

The three malls are Orchard Gateway, Takashimaya Shopping Center, and Tanjong Pagar Center.

Vision Lab Eyewear store in Tanjong Pagar Center was visited on December 22, while Supply & Demand restaurant in Orchard Gateway and Books Kinokuniya in Takashimaya were visited on December 25.

Also on the list are four restaurants in Singapore: On December 21st, the Windsor Arms at the British Club was visited; Renku Bar & Lounge at Marina Bay Sands on December 23; the departure of Picotin on the east coast on December 24; and the Korean restaurant HoHo in Clementi on December 26.

Ghim Moh Market and Food Center appears twice on the list, having been visited on December 26 and December 28.

The two remaining new locations are the mega industrial complex in Woodlands Close, which was visited on December 25, and the Grindelwald Supermarket in Clementi, visited on December 26.

A total of 10 locations were added to the list.

Those identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.

As a precautionary measure, people who were in these places during the specified hours should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of their visit, the ministry said.

“They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat, and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their history of exposure,” added the Ministry of Health. .

People can access the SafeEntry Location Matching Self-Check service through the TraceTogether app or SingPass Mobile, or online to check if they were at these locations during specified hours, based on their own SafeEntry records, the ministry said.

He added that there is no need to avoid places where COVID-19 cases have been confirmed.

“The National Environment Agency will involve the administration of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection,” the Health Ministry said.

Singapore reported 27 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 58,569.
