MAN UTD EYE PEDRO NETO
Manchester United are looking for a possible raid against Wolves this summer by the star winger Pedro Neto, according to the report.
Sun on sunday claims the 21-year-old has risen up the Old Trafford bosses’ transfer list in recent months.
In fact, he has reportedly become a “genuine” alternative to the likes of Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish.
United has started to show more attention to a Neto raid amid his strong season with the Wolves. Molineux’s club have suffered a drop in form this season, but Neto has proven to be a bright light up front.
The newspaper reports that United he could have signed Neto in 2016. The former Portugal international came to trial from Braga but failed to convince Carrington’s coaches.
However, his rise since moving to the Wolves has now caught the attention of United staff.
Neto, who moved to the Premier League from Lazio in the summer of 2019, played a supporting role in his debut season in the top flight.
However, following Diogo Jota’s departure to Liverpool in September, Neto has become a key star on Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
If United opted for Neto, they would be following in the footsteps of the Reds, who have reaped the rewards of Jota’s form.
