Manchester United have joined Liverpool in the search for a prolific RB Salzburg forward, while Leeds and Villa want an ace from Arsenal, according to transfer rumors on Sunday.

MAN UTD JOINS THE RACE FOR £ 20M SALZBURG HOTSHOT

United manchester reportedly joined Liverpool in the lineup for a play for RB Salzburg forward Patson Daka.

The 21-year-old Zambian international impressed when scored two goals for the Austrians in a 2-2 draw with Jurgen Klopp’s men in a friendly on Tuesday.

And now Sun claims the Red Devils have joined the Anfield team and several other big clubs to track him down.

Daka scored 24 goals in 31 league games and Salzburg won the Austrian Bundesliga title for the seventh consecutive year in the 2019/20 season.

That title came despite selling United’s main target Erling Haaland to Borussia Dortmund in January.

Daka is the latest player in an impressive Salzburg production line, which also includes Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino.

They also faced Liverpool in the Champions League last season, after which the Reds decided to buy Minamino.

But the report adds that United would offer serious competition to rivals if Daka is sold.

However, they would have to pay more than £ 20 million, after the forward signed a new deal until 2024 last year.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has other attacking targets, including Lyon’s Moussa Dembele, but Daka would be significantly cheaper.

That would also allow the head of the Red Devils to allocate the rest of his transfer budget to other goals, including people like Jack Grealish and a potential, if unlikely, mega deal for Lionel Messi.
