Manchester United have been quoted £ 55m to sign a target under the central defense radar this summer, while Arsenal missed a Barcelona star in the winter window, according to transfer gossip on Friday.
UNITED PRICE SAID FOR LALIGA CENTER-BACK
United manchester they have been told they must pay around £ 55 million to sign the Sevilla central defender Jules kounde this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to bolster his weak defense in the next transfer window, with a new partner for Harry Maguire as his top priority.
Duo of Real Madrid Sergio Ramos Y Raphael varane Both have been on United’s radar, and the latter is said to be Solskjaer’s “dream” signing.
However, Kounde has become an option that goes unnoticed by the Red Devils.
Despite shooting in attack, United have conceded 30 league goals this season in 23 games. That’s more than any other side in the upper half of the table except Leeds.
A report in the Daily express states that Solskjaer still has concerns about the quality of Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof and Axel Tuanzebe.
To that end, United scouts have been tracking Kounde extensively in recent months.
The 22-year-old made another impressive display when Sevilla beat Barceló 2-0 in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal.
And it is claimed that United will have to pay a fee of around £ 55 million to bring the central defender to Old Trafford.
That would potentially make him the second most expensive defensive signing in club history, just behind the £ 80 million they spent on Maguire in 2019.
