Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic is reported to have rejected the club’s latest offer for a new contract, and has informed the Serie A team that he wants to make the Premier League his next port of call.
Milenkovic will only have one year left on his contract with La Viola when summer rolls around. So far, he has yet to show any sign of renewing his contract, putting pressure on Fiorentina to take advantage of it. As such, they may have to cash in this summer to avoid losing it for free.
That has led to speculation about a move to the Premier League, where he has a number of fans. Tottenham was linked to him before the January transfer window.
Those links seem to have cooled off a bit since then, with Liverpool, on the other hand, is touted as a possible suitor. But the main contender for his signature appears to be Manchester United.
United are looking for a new defensive partner for captain Harry Maguire. There are still questions about the consistency of Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly’s injury history.
Milenkovic is someone who could strengthen your rear. The fact that it can cover in two positions (center or right side) increases its appeal.
Reports last month United have a “clear advantage” over their rivals in the race to sign Milenkovic. That’s because they have been in talks with his entourage since last summer.

In addition, he told the Serie A team that he wants to move to the Premier League. As such, they report that, ‘barring surprises’, the 23-year-old will play in England next season.
They also list United as the top suitor for their signature. Fiorentina reportedly expects to pocket € 30 million for Milenkovic. However, financial pressures and the market recession make a commission of between 20 and 25 million euros more likely.
It is claimed that Fiorentina have yet to receive any firm approach to Milenkovic, although that situation is expected to change in the coming weeks.

Solskjaer has a picture of the United team next season
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has a “picture” of what his team will look like for the start of next season.
United they are on track to progress this season by finishing second in the Premier League table. As such, Solskjaer could receive significant financial backing before the summer transfer window. In fact, winning the Europa League would add to the manager’s claims of important new signings.

“Some without a contract, some with a contract and we have a concrete picture of what the team will look like in August.”
