Manchester United will reportedly demand £ 20 million to sanction the departure of unwanted defender Phil Jones.
the former Blackburn central defender he was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011. But his career has stalled and is now on the sidelines of the first team squad.
Jones actually signed a contract extension until 2023 last summer, but it will be on the way in January if United can pocket £ 20 million, according to Sun.
The former England international has struggled with his fitness in recent seasons. In fact, he has managed to appear in just eight games in the last 12 months.

His last real appearance for United was in a 6-1 win over Tranmere in the FA Cup in January.
However, the 28-year-old may have to accept a pay cut to move to another location. His current salary is just £ 100,000 a week, before any bonuses.
United played tough on Roma over former defensive teammate Chris Smalling, despite considering the surplus of 30 years as requirements.

The defender has also been left out of the United squad in the Champions League, to add insult to injury.
Fulham was linked to a move for the player over the summer, after sealing his return to the Premier League. However, they signed Joachim Andersen on loan for the season and are unlikely to replace Jones again.

Edinson Cavani remains one of the best forwards in the world, according to PSG head coach Thomas Tuchel.
Two months after losing the Champions League final to Bayern Munich, the perennial Ligue 1 champions kick off their continental career with a home game against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
PSG have former United players Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria in their ranks for Tuesday’s game, while the visitors can now count on the record scorer for the Parisians.
Cavani scored 200 goals in 301 games for PSG before leaving for the summer and joining United, whom Tuchel believes have a jewel in their hands.
“They have a great personality, as with many of the most important players in the game, it’s the same with Edi,” the PSG head coach said of the 33-year-old Uruguayan. Read more…
