“Having now had the opportunity to reflect on what happened, I can only apologize to everyone for the embarrassment I have caused,” Greenwood said.

“It was irresponsible on my part to break the COVID-19 protocols that are in place to protect players, staff and the public.

Greenwood and Foden will not participate in England’s game against Denmark in Copenhagen on Tuesday night.
