SINGAPORE – Police are investigating 15 people who were found in a North Bridge Road store on December 20 for violating safe distancing measures.

A 29-year-old man, who was part of the Singaporean group, was also arrested for committing a reckless act.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 12 men and three women, ages 22 to 40, had met to drink alcohol on December 19, police said in a statement on Wednesday (December 23).

When police officers arrived at the two-story store following a police report, the 29-year-old allegedly tried to exit the building through the roof.

He was later arrested.

“After further checks, another 14 people were found in the store, 10 of whom were hiding on the roof,” police said.
