To commemorate his mother’s 85th birthday, Stomper Arthur decided to pour a cake for her.

He bought her a plant as a birthday present, as well as a chocolate cake, which he ordered from Ferns N Petals, and paid $ 113 including delivery.

On its website, Ferns N Petals promotes itself as the “World’s Largest Florist Chain and Leading Online Gift Portal” that has been in business for more than 25 years.

He also prides himself on allowing customers to “experience gifts like never before.”

Arthur said he left instructions requesting that the birthday cake come with a message saying, “Happy birthday, Mom!”

However, the cake Arthur received had a misspelling of “mother.” Instead, the message says: “Happy birthday, Monter.”

To add insult to injury, Arthur was offered a 10% discount on his next order after informing Ferns N Petals of the incident. (see screenshots in gallery).

The Stomper said, “What a laugh. Would you order from Ferns N Petals again? Hmpff …”

In response to Stomp’s inquiries, Ferns N Petals said it was aware of the incident.

However, Ferns N Petals does not produce the cakes and instead collaborates with suppliers that meet the customer’s requirements, the company said.

“Ferns N Petals then provides the solution to customers looking for cakes and flowers together to meet this requirement,” he added.

“Based on the incident, we have already flagged our suppliers for these errors. In terms of customer resolution, this issue has been resolved between Ferns N Petals and the customer.”
