After several excellent performances, Liverpool have entered into contract talks with star midfielder-turned-center-back Fabinho.
According to ESPN, Fabinho has become such a key player to Liverpool’s system that the club is eager to extend his current contract, despite still having two years left on the four-year contract he signed when he made the switch. Monaco in 2018.

Amid reported interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Barcelona, Juventus is said to be unwilling to reaffirm their apparent interest in Wolves winger Adama Traore.
According to Transfer market Via Sports Mole, Juventus have monitored Traore for some time, but will not be making an offer for the Spanish international.
Liverpool have long been linked to a move by Traore, but instead signed his teammate in the summer, Diogo Jota. Jota, 23, offers depth and versatility behind the three forwards of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
However, if one of Liverpool’s top trios leaves next summer, further investment in the position might be necessary. The fact that Juventus backtracks on a deal for Traore could open the door for him to join his former teammate at Anfield.
Ozan Kabak price drops
Following news of van Dijk’s prolonged absence, Liverpool have been linked to moves by several center-backs seeking to bolster their defensive options, including Brighton’s Ben White.
Another name that has been mentioned as a potential target is Schalke’s Ozan Kabak, who was strongly linked with a move to Anfield in the summer before Liverpool decided not to sign him.
According to James Pearce of The Athletic, in an interview with the Norwegian sports medium TV2 Sports Through Tribuna, Kazan could be an option that the club explores in January, as well as white.
“There is a player [Ben White] who’s been mentioned frequently at Anfield, and he did very well on loan to Leeds last year, so he’s another option, ”Pearce said. “Ozan Kabak is probably another player they are looking at and another good alternative.”
And now, a report from Sports media set via Sports Mole affirms that Schalke would be willing to lower its price to 30 million euros. Previously, it was reported that a bid close to £ 40 million would be needed to remove it.
