Liverpool have a new belief that they can sign Rodrigo de Paul this summer, a crazy gamble is being planned to award Bruno Fernandes from Man Utd, while Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk claims that Man City will sign a man from the AC Milan for 40 million euros.
PAUL’S WARNING FOR A CERTAIN LIVERPOOL
Udinese have sent Liverpool a warning about Rodrigo de Paul amid claims that they were getting closer and closer to his signing this summer.
The Reds are in the market for a top-notch midfielder to replace the trusty Georginho Wijnaldum cog. The Dutchman admitted this week I’d be “devastated” if I left Anfield. But now with just over three months left on his contract, a free transfer exit seems increasingly likely.
Jurgen Klopp and company are scouring Europe to find a replacement capable of taking the Reds further. The likes of Yves bissouma Y Florian Neuhaus have been strongly linked.
Both players would offer Liverpool a similar potential replacement. However, Klopp and sporting director Michael Edwards are believed to like De Paul, with two from Jordan Henderson, Thiago and Fabinho, as part of a three in midfield.
In fact, reports in Italy claim that Liverpool have made De Paul their main target. Furthermore, the Argentine is said to be excited about the idea of moving to Anfield and playing for Klopp.
Aware of the growing interest from Liverpool, CEO Pierpaolo Marino has issued a warning to the Reds. He says Udinese will be looking for a “considerable sum of money” for their star man, as well as for goalkeeper Juan Musso, another wanted man.
“It takes a lot of money to get them, but it’s not like we’re looking for potential buyers.
“I don’t have the problem of having to advertise them,” he said. Radio Mars. “If someone doesn’t realize how strong he is, selfishly, it’s better for me.”
The bidding for the Leeds-linked Argentine is reported to start at 35 million euros, while Udine will seek close to 40 million euros.
Teams like Leeds, Inter and Juventus have also been linked to De Paul. But now it appears the Reds are in the driver’s seat of the 26-year-old.
