Leeds are ready to make one last bet on signing a young Liverpool defender, while five Premier League clubs want to sign Everton misfit Theo Walcott, according to Sunday newspaper gossip.
RETURN LEEDS TO LIVERPOOL LEFT BACK
Leeds He will reportedly make one last offer to sign the left-back Yasser Larouci from Liverpool.
A report in the Sunday Mirror claims Marcelo Bielsa will face opposition from the mainland and at home for the defender, and the Reds are expecting a string of late moves from Larouci before Monday’s 11pm deadline.
However, that doesn’t put Bielsa off for the 19-year-old Algerian, who wants to leave Anfield with Andy Robertson firmly established as Jurgen Klopp’s first choice. The Reds also signed Kostas Tsimikas as a backup for Robertson over the summer.
Larouci only has one year to fulfill his contract at Anfield, and the report adds that the Merseyside team would prefer that he move to a club in England.
It is not the first time that Leeds has been linked with Larouci, since postpone Liverpool’s £ 2 million sale price for the youngster early summer.
He joined the Liverpool academy from the French team at Le Havre in 2017 after receiving the international pass.
The versatile Stuart Dallas has been used as a left back for Leeds so far this season, and Barry Douglas is linked to a possible departure from the club.
And it appears that Bielsa feels that it is an area of his team that needs to be strengthened, with Larouci an affordable option, as Leeds still tries to push deals for other more expensive goals.
