Two friendly strangers literally went the extra mile to return the lost checks they found in Sembawang on Sunday (October 18).
Stomper Then said her husband had misplaced two checks, worth between $ 3,000 and $ 4,000 in total, at the Sembawang Mall around noon.
However, they didn’t realize it until that night, when a young man and his partner stopped by the couple’s home to return the checks.
Anon, who lives near Mandai, said: “I would like to thank this man and a lady who came to my house around 6.45pm to deliver two checks that my husband lost that day.
“My husband didn’t know the checks had fallen out. He said they probably fell out of his pocket when he pulled out his wallet.”
Fortunately, the checks had the address of the couple,
Anon added: “I am sorry I did not receive the man’s name. We would like to congratulate him and the lady for making the effort to pass us the missing checks.
“A big thank you to you and the lady, we really appreciate it!
