SINGAPORE: Several shopping malls, including Jem, City Square Mall and Westgate, were added to the list of public places visited by COVID-19 cases in the community during their infectious period, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Friday (30 October). ).
Jem appeared on the list three times on different occasions, and the COVID-19 cases visited H&M and Uniqlo outlets there.
The COVID-19 cases had also visited McDonald’s in Hillion Mall and City Square Mall on separate occasions.
The other places on the list are the ICA building, International Plaza, Mustafa Center, and Jetspeed Travel at Peninsula Shopping Center.

Those who have been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.
As a precautionary measure, anyone who was in these places during the specified hours should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of the visit, the Health Ministry said.
They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection, as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their history of exposure.
The health ministry said that people can access the SafeEntry Location Matching Self-Check service through the TraceTogether app, SingPass Mobile, or the SafeEntry website to check if they were at these locations during specified hours, based on their own SafeEntry records. .
“It is not necessary to avoid places where confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded. The National Environment Agency will contract with the management of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection,” the Ministry of Health said.
Singapore reported nine new COVID-19 cases on Friday, including one in the community and another involving a one-bedroom resident. Seven of the infections were imported.
