Stomper Tan He was driving on Jurong West Avenue 5 on Monday (December 21) when he noticed a pedestrian in the middle of the street.

To make matters worse, the pedestrian didn’t even flinch or turn around when the horn was honked. Instead, he continued to cross the street at a slow pace.

Tan shared dash cam footage of the incident that occurred around 9.54 a.m.

Calling the pedestrian “cheeky, in his own right and a danger,” Tan said: “We were driving on Jurong West Avenue 5 when this man simply decided to cross the street even though he was apparently well aware of our approaching vehicle.

“We thought to honk to warn him, but he brazenly proceeded to walk right in front of our vehicle, resulting in us needing to stop in the middle of the road for him.

“He did not seem to have a diseased or incapacitated mind, except perhaps for having a haughty disregard for traffic rules and the safety of others and himself.”

When asked if he thought the pedestrian might have been hearing impaired, Tan told Stomp: “I wouldn’t think about it as he seemed to have noticed our car approaching.

“It also looked like he was deliberately looking the other way as our car approached.”
