Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi dies in apparent suicide

Tokyo, September 27 (Jiji Press) – Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi, 40, died in apparent suicide.

She was found hanging from her neck in her apartment in the Shibuya district of Tokyo on Sunday, according to sources in the investigation. Takeuchi was sent to a hospital and confirmed to have died there, sources said.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department suspects Takeuchi committed suicide.

Takeuchi’s husband and actor, Taiki Nakabayashi, 35, found her hanging herself in a bedroom of the apartment around 2 am (5 pm Saturday GMT), according to sources. No suicide note has been found.
