Jamie O’Hara criticized José Mourinho for his dealings with Dele Alli after the Tottenham manager singled out the striker following a 3-1 Carabao Cup quarter-final victory over Stoke.
Mourinho gave Alli his first start since Nov. 26 at the bet365 Stadium, but replaced the England international in the second half, blaming him for giving away the ball before Jordan Thompson tied.
Alli reacted angrily to being substituted and a discontent Mourinho confirmed that the feeling was mutual.

The decision to publicly admonish Alli after the game did not sit well with former Spurs midfielder O’Hara, who believes the ongoing criticism is ‘killing’ the player’s confidence.
O’Hara insists that Mourinho needs to tell Alli if he’s in his plans or not rather than “dig up” the 24-year-old.
“ When you go out and you are taking a player out of the press, I think you need to help him. ” O’Hara said talkSPORT. ‘What do you gain by going to the press and digging up that one performance?
‘It’s only killing her confidence more. It’s an investment and an asset to the club and whether it’s in your plans or not, you don’t want to kill their trust so much that you lose it entirely.
