SINGAPORE – During the month of December, Singaporean employers will have the opportunity to vaccinate their migrant workers against the flu at $ 25 per vaccine.

The one-time exercise is open to all migrant workers in the Construction, Marine or Process sectors, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said in a press release on Monday (November 9).

All workers staying in dormitories, including factory converted dormitories, settling sites, and temporary housing, temporary occupational license housing, or temporary construction housing, are also eligible to participate.

“Vaccination will help reduce the number of workers who need medical leave for flu or similar symptoms, minimize job disruption for employers, and have fewer workers with acute respiratory illness symptoms evaluated for possible COVID-19 infection. “said MOM.

Employers can register their workers for an appointment at MOM designated locations at www.mom.gov.sg/register-flu-vaccine between November 9 and November 30. Organized by the Assurance, Care and Engagement Group, the vaccination exercise will take place from December 1 to December 31.

“Fighting infections, including COVID-19, is a responsibility shared by all. We encourage all employers to arrange for their workers to be vaccinated, ”said MOM.
