Hillion Mall, Haniffa on Dunlop Street visited for infectious cases

SINGAPORE – Hillion Mall and Haniffa Pte Ltd on Dunlop Street were added by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Saturday (September 19) to a list of public places visited by community cases while they were infectious.

Haniffa, a grocery and department store at 118 Dunlop Street, was visited from 11.05-11.50 am on September 7. Hillion Mall at 17 Petir Road was visited from 3:20 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on September 15.

Those who had been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified, the Health Ministry said.

As a precautionary measure, visitors who have been to these locations during specified times should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of their visit, he added.

They should see a doctor if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection, such as cough, sore throat, and runny nose, as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history.

“It is not necessary to avoid places where confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded. The National Environment Agency will involve the administration of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection, ”the ministry added.

The list of public places visited excludes residence, workplaces, healthcare facilities, and public transportation, and will be updated every 14 days or an incubation period, and as epidemiological investigations progress.

On the same day, the Ministry of Health confirmed 15 new cases of COVID-19 in Singapore, bringing the country’s total to 57.558.
