SINGAPORE – A gym in Jurong West, an ice cream parlor in the Upper Thomson area and a food court in Terminal 3 of Changi Airport are among the new places visited by patients infected with Covid-19, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday. Health (MOH) (October 28).

Of the new places added to a list of places visited by such patients, the Health Ministry said six visits were recorded at the Anytime Fitness gym at Nanyang Community Club in Jurong West.

The other new places are Rumah Makan Minang restaurant at Our Tampines Hub, Kopitiam at Terminal 3 at Changi Airport, and Ice Cream Chefs store in Upper Thomson.

The Ministry of Health provides the list of places that patients infected with Covid-19 visited for at least 30 minutes and the times they visited them so that people who were in those places at the same time monitor their health closely for two weeks to from the date of your visit. .

The ministry has said that close contacts would have been notified and that there is no need to avoid these places as they would have been cleaned up, if necessary.

Singapore also confirmed seven new coronavirus cases on Wednesday. They were all imported.

It consisted of a permanent resident (PR), a holder of a work pass and five holders of a work permit.

The PR is a 70-year-old man who arrived from Belgium, while the holder of the work pass is a 34-year-old man who traveled from Switzerland.

Four of the work permit holders came from Myanmar and one from the Philippines.

All had been placed on stay-at-home notices upon arrival in Singapore and were evaluated while delivering their notices.

There were no new cases in workers’ bedrooms and no new Covid-19 clusters were announced on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s new cases bring Singapore’s total to 57,987 patients.

The number of new cases in the community has increased from two cases two weeks ago to three last week, the Health Ministry added.

The number of unrelated cases in the community in one week also increased from two to three in the same period.

With seven cases discharged on Wednesday, 57,875 patients have made a full recovery from the disease.

A total of 40 patients remain in the hospital, while 29 are in community facilities. None are in intensive care.

Singapore has had 28 deaths from Covid-19 complications, while 15 who tested positive have died from other causes.
